Khoupum Valley: A pale green paradise, engulfed by evergreen mountains.

Khoupum Valley is a pale green paradise, engulfed by evergreen mountains in Tamenglong district of Manipur in north eastern India. It’s a real paradise at all terms; Fresh air, beautiful streams, clouds embracing green mountains, huts surrounded by paddy fields, a beautiful lake, Khoupum dam and so on.

Manipur is one of the seven sister states of north eastern India with several attractions.  The valley is 83 km away from the capital city of Imphal in Manipur. You would have to survive some bumpy roads prior reaching this wonderful valley.

On the way to this beautiful valley, you can also get some stunning glimpses of the Keibul Lamjao National Park from the mountains. Lots of manipuri tribal villages can be seen prior reaching the valley with many eye catching views of the mountains. Me and my family visited the valley in mid october which was the prime time of the season.

Almost a complete view of the valley.

Khoupum valley is such a serenic and a nature filled valley. I would definitely regret if I don’t go back there for yet another visit. Staying fingers crossed!
